Outsourcing to India : The Offshore Advantage

Posted on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Uncategorized

An increasing amount of businesses are choosing to outsource for a wide range of reasons, for example, reduced costs, increased productivity, and more time to focus on core competencies.

India has led the way in providing outsourcing solutions and has supplied an extensive range of outsourcing services to companies across the world for many years. Outsourcing to India is these days recognized as the world’s principle outsourcing solution.

India has a large pool of English speaking, educated, trained and technically skilled workers that grows year on year. Utilizing this workforce has enabled India to supply value for money services that of are of an equal quality to those available anywhere else.

They use the latest technology and software and they have shown themselves to be superior in almost every aspect when measured against other nations that provide outsourcing solutions.

India outsourcing should be considered for many business processes, such as: financial services; call center services; software development services; data entry services; internet marketing services.

To begin the process of finding an outsourcing partner in India, you should look online. Perform some Google searches with your search keywords being the type of service that you are looking for plus the words ‘outsourcing’ and ‘India’ i.e. “call center outsourcing India” or “software development outsourcing India”.

Look through the results that are given and create a shortlist of 5-10 potential service providers in India, based upon the first impression that their websites give you. You will then need to contact each outsourcing company on your shortlist so as to find out more about them.

When deciding on an outsourcing partner, you should consider: track record; references; stability; credentials; samples; communication; post development support.

1) Track Record. Learn what you can regarding the outsource partner’s experience, the different types of businesses that they have provided services for and the amount of assignments that they have completed successfully. Find out if they have particular experience in delivering services at the scale that your business needs.

2) References. Prior to signing an agreement with an outsource partner, request that they provide some references. These will allow you to learn more about the quality of service they provide, how timely their deliveries are, and if their customer support services can be relied upon. You will also be able to get more information about issues such as turnaround time and level of responsibility.

3) Stability & Credentials. Ensure that an outsourcing company is financially secure. It is also worth finding out about their managers and directors (primarily about their experience and their qualifications).

4) Samples. Viewing samples gives an opportunity to assess an outsourcing partner’s quality of output and expertise. Obtaining these will enable you to make certain that the service provider fully understands your business objectives and if they have the right people, processes and technology to complete your project.

5) Communication. Ensure that the outsource partner that you choose can competently speak your language and find out what hours they will be available to contact and by what methods of communication.

6) Post Development Support. Post development support from your partner is essential to help you resolve any problems that may arise after they say that they have done all that they have been asked to do. You need to be clear on this, and to have it stated in your contract.

The 4 Most Common Business Card Printing Mistakes to Avoid

Posted on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Uncategorized

You probably dream of having business cards that will rival with those of firms like Microsoft and General Motors. But alas, financial constraints are holding you back. However, are you sure you are making the most out of your printing expenses?

Too often, business cards fail to project the right image of the businesses to new clients. The greatest problem lies in the area of printing. However, your business card is one of the important marketing tools you have. It is your image, your identity. So, how can you afford taking risks with it?

Here are the 4 most common mistakes businesses make when they are printing their business cards:

Using Poor Quality Cards:

This is especially the problem with “home-made” business cards. Even after taking painstaking care with the design – the layout, the font and the color – the creator fails to choose the right paper. The result: feather-light unattractive cards that reflect poorly on the company.

Also, many businesses always prefer to use regular coatings just to save a few dollars. They simply do not realize that glossy, matte and textured coatings not only make their cards look professional but they also drastically improve the durability of the business cards. In addition, glossy papers are absolutely necessary if the card contains pictures or lots of colors. Note, however, that glossy papers are not compatible with laser printers.

Using Oversized Cards

Sometimes, in order to make their cards unique, a few businesses have tried to experiment with their cards’ sizes. In most cases, they have increased the size, believing that the bigger size will make the cards, and thus the businesses, more memorable. The result: oversized business cards that do not fit in wallets and most business card holders.

In others, they have tried smaller sizes, and thus have used smaller font sizes to include all the necessary information on the smaller format. The result: too small print that is hard to read unless one is using a magnifying glass.

By rule, business cards should of the standard size 3.5 by 2 inch. Anything smaller does not make sense; anything bigger finds its way to the trash bin.

Using Printers Inappropriately

Just like you should not use glossy coating in a laser printer, you should also avoid using too many colors when printing on a monochrome printer. However, many businesses fail to recognize this simple printer fact. The result: no difference between colors such as red and orange on the printout.

Not Using Online Business Card Printers

Due to the printing technologies which are available that make it easier and more affordable for anyone to design and then print a business card, many businesses have decided to print their own cards. However, online business card printers are available that give your business cards an edge over your competitors’.

The wide range of features provided at online printing companies will fulfill your business card printing needs and give you the maximum benefit at acceptable pricing.

Always be careful when you are choosing your online business card printer. After all, your business cards can either break or make new business deals!

Are You Charging What You Are Worth As A Coach, Consultant or Speaker?

Posted on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Uncategorized

Establishing fees and setting boundaries with your clients is always the first priority of a business owner. If you are in a service provider industry, there can be quantifiable prices for supplies and tools and probably even industry standards for your hourly rate. But how do you measure your value as a coach, consultant or professional speaker?

Being all three, and belonging to several professional groups surrounding these industries, I can tell you that many haven’t got a clue as to what to charge or even an inkling of the value they offer.

This is what I hear most frequently from my least successful colleagues.

“I feel guilty charging for my natural gift.” Every great artist and entertainer has a natural gift too. But they have also practiced, studied and sacrificed to fine tune their gifts and have no problem charging audiences for enjoying their talent. Haven’t you done the same?

“I don’t need to make a lot of money, I just want to help people. ” Isn’t that just an excuse for failure? The more money you make, the more good you can do with it and the more people you can help.

“Money will corrupt me.” Really? Are you that corruptible? Money has nothing to do with character. There are many very good, kind, generous and spiritual people who are also very wealthy. They just don’t make the news; instead they serve others without notice or fanfare.

“Money is bad”. Untrue. Money is a just a thing, a tool to use for good or bad. It’s entirely your choice how you use it. More money can equal more good works. Money can save lives.

“I don’t like selling and marketing” Then get out of business and get a job. Selling and marketing is a necessary part of growing your business. It is a must and also a lot of fun! How else will people find out about you and benefit from your good work?

“I’m not comfortable promoting myself”. Even the Bible says.”Don’t hide your light under a bushel”.If you don’t think you are worth it, how are you going to convince others?

We have a tendency to underestimate the value of what we do. We think that what we know is common knowledge and obvious common sense. Not true! You are unique, amazing and have skills, knowledge, life experiences and insights specific to you and no one else on the planet. You have worked hard to polish and perfect your skills. You want to serve others. You have no competition. If what you offer can truly inspire others, change lives and revitalize a business, how much is that worth? Here’s an exercise to try. Stand in front of the mirror and practice saying, “My fee is $____and I’m worth it.” Say it until you believe it and your eyes show it” Your first client is you and your first customer is you. You deserve to be highly compensated for the great work that you do. You can sell and market yourself and your business. Don’t hide your light under a bushel.

Succeeding in Business – Building a Residual Income

Posted on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Uncategorized

Did you know that you have a one in twenty chance at succeeding in building a business? Those are a lot better odds than winning the lottery. I take those odds very seriously, and am working very hard at being the one out of twenty that succeeds in building an online business.

The truth is that I have already succeeded somewhat in those goals. My wife and I have already built a successful nice product business that averages nearly four thousand dollars in sales per month. The problem is that we are always investing the profits back into the business in order to grow it.

Lately, I have been working at building another stream of online income through Adsense. I had messed around with Adsense a bit before, but never really gave it a serious enough effort. In two years time, I had only earned fifty dollars at it.

About two and a half months ago, I started working at building Adsense websites again. This time, I gave it all the effort I had previously put into building a successful products based business. The results showed very quickly.

In the first month, I brought my Adsense income up another fifty dollars, breaking the one hundred dollar threshold and giving me my first payday from Google. That felt great, but the following month only stayed steady, bringing in fifty two dollars worth of clicks. That made me more determined than ever.

I have worked hard since then, giving away at least one article almost every single day to gain backlinks. The results have been great. I made seventy four dollars in Adsense income in only the first fifteen days. That is putting me on pace for about one hundred and fifty dollars this month. That is not a lot of money, but when you consider that it only took me two and a half months to create the perpetual income, it brings it into proper perspective. If I can continue this pace of my Adsense income increasing, in a year’s time, I should be making approximately seven hundred and fifty dollars per month. That is not too bad for a residual income that I do not have to work for again.

As the income increases, I will also be able to hire other people to write the articles for me, which will speed up the rate of increase in income. As time progresses, I should be able to replace the income from my current day job, giving me even more time to spend on building the online business empire.

The difference between the one in twenty who succeed in business and the nineteen in twenty who fail is not the luck of the draw; it is how hard they are willing to work. I know that I am the one in twenty who will succeed in business. I know this because I work extremely hard and will not quit.

Join me and learn how to build your own successful online business.

A Brooklyn Electronic Shop Gets You The Camera You Want For The Price You Deserve!

Posted on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Uncategorized

For most of us that are involved in photography, we know that these cameras, while high quality, are also high priced. But what if you can’t afford it? What if you are just trying this out as a hobby? In these cases – if you can’t afford it or if you aren’t TOO serious about the camera you are getting, the price is going to make all the difference in the world! After doing some research, you might come to find out about a little thing called a discount camera store. These are stores just like any other photography store online or offline in that they offer all the same products and brands, but without the large price tag attached to it. These are all brand name cameras!

- Pentax: This was a Japanese optical company, developing cameras, sport optics (e.g. binoculars). The company was incorporated with and into Hoya Corporation on March 31, 2008. Hoya also sells camera and optical products such as photographic lenses, lasers, contact lenses, etc.

- Olympus: This is a Japan-based company that manufactures some of the most popular optics and imaging products to date. Popular series include SP, PEN and Ultra Zoom.

- Canon: Most photographers will tell you that Canon and Nikon are THE best of THE best – ad it’s true! Not only are these cameras affordable at a discount camera shop, but they are durable and functional as well!

- Nikon: Like all of the above mentioned brands, Nikon has superseded film cameras and with good reason. Awesome imagining along with amazingly clear quality allows Nikon to continually be one of the most sought after camera brands in the world.

If you were to do some comparison shopping for a brand name store versus a discount camera store like a Brooklyn electronic shop, chances are you would see a huge price difference. We’re not talking $10 or $20, we’re talking $50+ on the penny. This is spectacular news for hobbyists or people that think they MIGHT want to get into professional photography, but aren’t willing to spend $800 on a camera they may or may not use again. This is always such a waste of money! Sure you can re-sell it, but chances are you won’t be able to get back what you put into it. Some of us try a few cameras before we find the one we really jive with – for me it was my Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital camera – SLR with Live View mode.

These guys cost somewhere around $600-$800! Ouch! But after doing what any smart person does, which is looking online and researching, I found this at a much better price than expected. Now I can have the camera I want, and not fret over the high price. And now you can too since you know the secret of the consumer buyer! Do your research, take a look around and see what camera you would like to “work” with, and find an amazing price at a Brooklyn electronic shop!

www.1StopCamera.com

Brooklyn Electronic Shop
, is your 1 retailer for all consumer electronics including televisions, home theater systems, appliances and cameras.
