The 9 Best Recession Proof Businesses to Start

Posted on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Uncategorized

There are always opportunities to make extra money, even in a tough recession. Many people are looking at starting a home business. Here are some ideas for recession proof businesses to get you moving toward home business success and financial security– even during a bad economy.

1. The Entertainment Industry. People want temporary escape from reality when times get tough, so the entertainment industry does well in a bad economy. Movies, books and video games all do well in a recession, especially the used, resale and rental markets. Or if you are creative, you might try your hand at writing stories or creating video game software.

2. Candy and Sweets. People are willing to spend a little extra money on their favorite candies and snacks. Candies are cheap and sweet, and they can add a quick energy or a happiness boost to those who need it. If you can make tasty baked goods or candies, try asking local gift shop owners if they’d like to carry your products.

3. Skilled Maintenance and Repair Services. Many skilled repair services will continually be needed, no matter what the economy is like. Services such as: car repair, plumbing, electrical, roof repair, cleaning services, extermination and other home maintenance and repair services.

4. Pawn Shops & Thrift Stores. These are win-win recession proof businesses. People in financial need sell things to get a little extra cash. Other people are looking for bargains and are willing to buy used items in order to save a little money. Another related idea to consider is starting a consignment shop.

5. Cosmetics and beauty. One of the businesses considered recession proof is cosmetics. Women continue to make spending money on cosmetics a priority, and they look for inexpensive ways to pamper themselves during tough economic times. Even in a slow economy, women still want to look younger and more beautiful.

6. Outsourcing. To save money many companies now outsource important services for their business. Some recession proof outsourcing businesses include handling the customer care section or the billing and accounting services of other industries.

7. Debt and Bankruptcy Services. Financial consulting, debt management, mortgage and foreclosure rescue services and other bankruptcy related services thrive in a recession and time of economic crisis. When people and businesses go bankrupt or start to lose their homes, they look for services that offer help in this area.

8. Home Products. Home products are something people need in any type of economy. A growing niche in this market is “green” home products such as cleaners and recycled paper products which are non-toxic and environmentally safe.

9. Health related businesses. Health and wellness based businesses are considered some of the most recession-proof businesses to get involved with. People still get sick, no matter what is going on in the economy. And when times are tough people stress out more and eat worse, leading to more recession related illnesses.

With the high cost of medical services and the distrust of the established medical community, many people are looking towards natural medicine and nutrition to help them avoid sickness. Add to this the huge population of aging baby boomers who are looking for ways to live longer and more comfortably as they get older, and you could make a substantial income if you have excellent health care products to sell.

Now is the time to take action to secure your financial future. Whatever recession proof business you choose, be sure you invest time and energy into researching and planing your business the right way. Even a recession proof business won’t be successful without good hard work done by a motivated worker.

One Try beats twice the amount of Fear…Its Simple Math!

Posted on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Uncategorized

Fear + Fear < Try

(6+5+1+18) + (6+5+1+18) < 20+18+25

30 + 30 < 63

60 < 63

Do you know what happens when you number the letters of the alphabet? Perhaps you did this to make a secret code when you were younger. If you do it again, now, you will be surprised at how much you learn. It will even give you an enlightening new way to look at life.

Give each letter of the alphabet a number (a=1, b=2) and you will see that even if you double the amount of fear you still have a better chance of succeeding with just one try, so make the attempt!!!!

All individuals have some kind of fear. It is a natural part of a human being. However, you do not need to allow your fears to get the better of you, or to stand in the way of doing better. You also do not need to be a math scholar to see how you can apply some simple math to whatever you may be dealing with in your life.

Even when fear is present, the numbers which make up the word are so tiny. In fact, they are so small that you can double them without them being large or intimidating. The numbers which correspond with the word “try” are much different. They are bigger and more powerful than twice the amount of fear even though they only make up three letters. The three numbers for the word “try” beat the word “fear” every time. You can even double the numbers in fear, and they still will not stand a chance against a try. When you begin to try with this simple math, you will see how easy it is to win against your fears.

This is an excellent way to look at life. No matter how many fears you may have, or how big they may seem to be, they are no match when you apply the word “try” to each situation. All you need to do is trust in this simple math and step out believing in yourself and the results will become clear.

Whether you are at work or school, in a social environment, starting your own business or thinking about some other desire which you are unsure of, as soon as you begin to apply the word “try,” you will see how easily all of your fears can be overcome.

In life, there is always something that is greater than something else. There is always something that is less, also. When developed, the habit of looking at your ability to “try” as always being greater than your fears, you are surely destined for greatness.

Let’s make your desires a reality. If you found this article uplifting, go to Anthony’s website and find out more concerning the power of affirmations=> http://create-sun.com

Luxury Homes/Real Estate

Posted on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Uncategorized

Though the location may vary, there will always be a strong demand for luxury real estate.  Americans are earning more than ever and having the home of their dreams is at their fingertips now more than ever.  Using the baby boomer’s notion of the American dream as a springboard, today’s home buyers think big.

Homes are considered one of the safest investments an individual can make and a diversified portfolio of quality luxury real estate holdings is a valuable asset.  While some investors have downsized their real estate holdings, the educated home buyer understands the unique opportunity presented by our current economy.  Never before seen prices abound for luxury real estate properties that were once unattainable for so many investors.  With America’s market fluctuations, there exists a crucial window within which committed investors are making tremendous gains.

In addition, the notion of luxury homes has been redefined by the diversity of options for savvy investors with a sense of the market.  From plantation homes to high rise penthouses, there is a myriad of choices that can entice luxury real estate buyers.

Some prime properties in cities across the country are now up for grabs and going fast. As home owners begin to research potential investment opportunities it is important to prioritize the timeless aspect of quality homes.  Places such as Greenwich, Connecticut and San Francisco, California will enjoy avid popularity for decades to come and owners can rest assured that their investments are insulated from the vagaries of an unpredictable market.

The best way to discover the finest homes available today is to travel and consider the entire picture of a property.  Aside from the exterior and layout of a home, luxury real estate is heavily influenced by its surroundings, climate, local population and amenities.  Outdoor enthusiasts who lead an active lifestyle will want to prioritize the availability of natural features and recreation.  In contrast, some fine homes of America are located in dense urban settings that offer their own metropolitan appeal for the discerning investor.

In addition, the jet set lifestyle led by so many luxury home buyers demands convenient access to transportation and air travel.  From private airports to public runways, purchasers should bear in mind how the property fits into their on-the-go lifestyle.  Finally, because so many luxury homes are passed down through the generations, bearing in mind the timeless elegance that accompanies classic styling is important.  Enduring styles are always a wise investment in your luxury property’s future.

Simply exquisite luxury homes, houses and properties. The best of living, for the luxury real estate living enthusiast.

Posted on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Uncategorized

The word “integrity” is the most overused and misunderstood word in business. Many claim to have the upmost highest level of integrity when it comes to serving their customers, respecting their service partners and treatment of their employees but very few really know what the word means. By definition, integrity means “a steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code” so the question that comes to mind is whose moral or ethical code? Yours? Your parents? Society? Your religion? Your friends? The list could go on and on.

Having integrity is doing what you believe to be true and moral based upon the ethical code you have chosen to adopt in your life. All of the experiences you have had and all of the influences you have met, how you were raised and the religion you follow are all part of the composition of your ethical code. Integrity is the developed by making the right choices that support your ethical code consistently and without waiver. Integrity is something you have even when others are not looking.

Many successful people are successful because they have integrity. It is through integrity that you develop trusting relationships. And it is because of trusting relationships that good business is formed. Integrity is one of the easiest qualities to detect, or to detect the lack of in people you meet. Once you become familiar with a person’s actions and the choices they make, you will begin to anticipate their integrity level. When you act with integrity on a consistent basis, your actions become more predictable and your behaviors can be anticipated by others.

Integrity is one of the most sought after qualities by customers, business partners and employers so what can you do to ensure your actions are communicating a high level of integrity?

1. Know Your Beliefs

Understand what makes you tick. What beliefs do you hold as true and as right? Before you can act with integrity, you must first understand your limits and your beliefs and the actions that you would take when those beliefs are challenged.

2. Be Consistent to Your Beliefs

Integrity is about consistency and holding true to you not matter what the risk. It is about creating predictable behavior that not only you but others will begin to rely upon and depend. Don’t waiver in your actions and hold true to your beliefs each and every time.

3. Don’t Lie or Exaggerate

Integrity is about creating trust and lying is always associated with lack of integrity, even if you feel the lie is justified. When you are honest and true, your integrity will shine and draw others to you.

4. Stay True to Your Values

Sometimes we are easily influenced by others and our beliefs are challenged. We often find ourselves on the edge with a choice to go right or go left. To have integrity means to stay true to your values and your beliefs.

In order to succeed, you must not only have drive and ambition, but you must also act with integrity at all times. In the words of President Eisenhower “The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionable integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army on in an office”.
